I am not an athlete, can I still workout with Octane Athletic Performance?
Yes. Our programs are designed for high level athletes but are available for anybody. Actually, the majority of our clients are non-athletes. And as the founder of NIKE, Bill Bowerman said, “If you have a body, you are an athlete.”
Do you all do CrossFit?
No. We are a personal training gym. The difference between personal training and CrossFit is like the difference between yoga and pilates. Or between seeing a medical doctor versus an acupuncturist. Many doctors focus on science to get their patients results. Similarly our personal trainers put the science back in training to help our clients see faster results like dropping 2 sizes in 8 weeks.
Additionally, our groups are usually older. Our target age demographic is over 50 years old while the target age for CrossFit is 25 years old.
We are skilled in one on one training, but we do also focus on semi-private training. Our groups classes are typically smaller than those at a CrossFit gym, allowing us to focus on each individual more.
By focusing on specific tailored programs for people, we’ve seen many members lose over 20+lbs in less than 2 months (and keep it off) while others have put on over 500lbs of strength in almost exactly a year.
Accomplishing those goals takes more focus and that’s what a personal training gym is all about.
